Dollmaking
Some of our fondest memories are of the dolls we played with in years long gone by! Little girls love to cuddle and take care of their baby dolls. In fact, they are future mommies practicing their mothering skills with their beloved dolls. It is always a treasure to have a home-made doll. A mother’s love goes into it. Why not make a dolly for your daughter(s), and also, as your daughters learn to handle a needle skillfully, teach them the skill of dollmaking!

18" Keepers Doll Pattern
This beautiful doll pattern exactly matches the Keepers Girl on the cover of the Keeper at Home Handbooks. My daughter-in-love, Elley, and my granddaughter, Brittany, spent many hours testing this pattern until it was just right, so you will have a trouble-free experience in making the doll. In fact, they made one together from the final draft, and had a wonderful time doing it. They worked on it once a week for eight weeks. It turned out so well, that when people saw it, they wanted to place orders with Brittany for more dolls! Although some basic sewing experience is necessary, the pattern has detailed, easy-to-use instructions. Included are instructions on using the pattern and how to make the hair (which lets you do your doll?s hair in many different styles), a pretty pattern for the doll?s dress, a pinafore, and bloomers. The doll is 18" tall.

Making Rag Dolls
We went through a considerable number of doll books before we found this one. There are seventeen sweet and feminine dolls, approximately 20 inches tall! The dolls are all made from one basic pattern (included) with many variations for faces, hair, and clothing. The book includes many doll dress patterns as well. The dolls are pictured in full color and the instructions are so easy to follow. You and your girls will be making dolls in no time at all! This is an excellent buy! Each doll requires 16 inches of 45 inch wide fabric.
