Product Image Add To Cart   Are You Serious About Marriage?
How is your marriage doing? Do you have a close, loving relationship with your husband? Do you feel that you are “one,” as you set out to be years ago? Or are things beginning to unravel as the stresses of life mount?

Are you disappointed in your husband? Are you disappointed in life? Are you disappointed in your marriage? Are you struggling? Perhaps this little book, Are You Serious About Marriage? will shed some light on the perplexing issues women face.

It is not written from a know-it-all attitude but from the heart of a woman that knew nothing, and had to learn along the way. It is not a “20 Steps to a Great Marriage,” but the sharing of a journey to become a wife as God has intended a woman to be.

We have had a tremendous number of requests from our former In Keeping With the Faith subscribers to put this series of marriage articles into a book. We have, and they now continue to bless and help wives to be godly, loving helpmeets to their husbands. People have requested them for future reference, for their children, for newly married women, for women who are struggling in their marriages, for Bible studies, and for those young women preparing for marriage. We have received countless testimonies of changed lives, and changed marriages, as a result of these articles.

If you are ready for a change and want to really get serious about your marriage, give this a read.

Product Image Add To Cart   If
This is an absolutely wonderful, life-changing book of poetry written by the missionary Amy Carmichael. Most of the entire book is based on the premise that, "If I am thus...., then I know nothing of Calvary love." This would make a wonderful devotional book. It is very convicting, and shows us how shallow our love is compared to the love of Calvary. On a scale of ten, this is a 20.

This is an awe-inspiring record of the path of the early martyrs. Persecutions, sufferings, and death were a price they gladly paid for their faith in Jesus Christ. It is a record of the accounts of more than 4,011 people who died for Christ. In addition, it contains the priceless collection of stories of songs, letters, prayers, and confessions of those who were willing to endure the shame and reproach of Jesus Christ. It begins with the death of John the Baptist, all the apostles are included, and continues recording the experiences of those who "resisted unto blood" until 1660. This book is rich in history which you will not easily find anywhere else. Dear friends, if you want to be challenged to examine your own faith by looking at the faith of those Christians who have passed through the fires, this book will challenge you in a way no other can. You will give honest thought to the question "Do I have the faith which endures?" May God give you the answer.

I found this book to be very interesting. It is entirely about the Lisu people who live high up in the mountains of China. It tells of the first missionary efforts to reach them, how they responded, their spiritual struggles, and their growth in Christ. Isobel Kuhn has such a wonderful way of writing as to draw you into these people's very lives. You will discover that these people, bereft of money, electricity, education, and modern conveniences, have the same struggle coming to Christ as those with money, electricity, education, and modern conveniences. After they have come, they struggle with the same sins of carnality as those of us who live in America. The important thing to be learned is that God loves and cares for them, and works with them as well as us. God is incredible in His love for mankind. This is well worth reading.

This true story of a young Lisu tribeswoman, Mary, will reveal the working of God in a life to bring that life to Him and also to bring it to Christian maturity. We, in the United States, are so well-educated that sometimes we tend to get the impression that our endowments in this life somehow make us more valuable to God. As I was reading this story of Mary, I found myself amazed, blessed and encouraged by her struggling walk as a new believer and as a young Christian wife. It is an example of how God must break those who truly seek to become emptied of themselves and filled with Him.

This is a companion book to They Would Not Be Silent. It contains true stories of the courageous and faithful believers in communist Romania and the former Soviet Union. It is sometimes good to read how our brothers and sisters in Christ live under such painful conditions; it should certainly help us to not be moved when we have the opportunities to stand for the Lord Jesus.

This is an outstanding collection of stories of ordinary people enduring persecution for their faith under communistic rule in eastern Europe. The stories take place from 1945 until as late as 1989. We found the book especially interesting as the stories were written from the perspective of being behind the Berlin wall in the former Soviet Union. It did reveal somewhat how communistic governments and parties operate, and also how some people viewed western countries and longed for their freedom. It also demonstrated how adversity will strengthen our faith and trust in God. There are stories of young teenagers coming to know God, and willing to go to prison and die for their faith in Jesus. A high point of the book was that it focused on everyday people such as farmers, carpenters and factory workers. We can live for God and take a stand for our faith no matter what our circumstances or occupation. There are some graphic details, so we would recommend it for older teens or adults. Inspirational and spiritually refreshing!
