What do you need to get started?

Each child needs her/his own handbook. One handbook will last for eight years. It is a place to keep records. Some skills are learned over a period of months, so progress is checked off as skills and duties are completed. The handbooks contain all the necessary information for earning a badge. The how-to for most skills is available right in the handbooks with the exception of a few skills with which it would not be feasible. We have an excellent list of resources in our catalog and web site for additional how-to information as well as crafts, projects, tools and materials.
