Reading Readiness is designed to teach your child his short vowel sounds, simple consonant sounds, and the concept of blending two letters together. This is the first step in teaching phonetic reading. Reading Readiness is used in conjunction with the Alphabet Flash Cards. Reading Readiness is a series of exercises by which the student is introduced to, and works with, one letter at a time with simple reviews that are spaced and graduated to be timely and easily accomplished. Each new flash card is introduced as that new letter is learned. Flash cards are used for practice in making letter sounds an instinctive response. Any mixing of concepts quickly becomes difficult to the new beginner. This program eliminates many of the needless complexities that students often face. Complete instructions are included.
