Sewing Machine Encouragement

A word of encouragement...my daughter began using my sewing machine at age 7 when she sewed a 3 strip doll quilt for her little sister.  While I was watching and praying that she wouldn't sew over her fingers - she was intently and joyously sewing away!  I agree with Susan regarding purchasing a simple machine.  You can always add special "feet" later and increase the capabilities of your machine.  Happy sewing!!!
