Subject: What decorations to use around a theme.
Our Theme is "O Taste and see / do you sip or gulp?" and the bible verse is "Psalms 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him." I don't know what to use for decorating our tables and in the ladies room. Please help

Subject: Pattern as theme for Mother-Daughter Banquet for Laurel
We used the theme, "You're SEW special." I made large spools out of oatmeal boxes with a circle of wood on top and bottom, wrapped oatmeal box with yarn and used a wooden skewer for the needle. Bought old patterns from e-bay and used the envelopes. I cut open the side and glued my program inside each one. Gave small sewing kits as favors. Used butterfly confetti in colors of yarn used for "spools." Had three women (mother and two daughters) talk on "cutting out the pattern' (birth and childhood), "putting the pattern together" (adolescence and young woman), and Mother spoke of "completing the garment" -- letting them go into adulthood and marriage.

Hello, I am lookinf for more ideas for decorating tables at our church's Christian women's meeting. The theme is "Many Parts, One Body, Stewards of God's Love". I have come up with the idea of using mosiacs, with the many parts, yet all joined together in one body. A while ago I was looking for theme ideas for the Ladies Ministry at my church. I am in charge of the Ladies Meeting for May. I came across the theme name "How Sweet it is." It had all of the decorating ideas (in wich the tables were decorated with jars of jelly.) It had everything else needed to plan this theme. It was set up where you could have a lady to tell, How Sweet it is to be a mother, a daughter, a grandmother, and a child of God. It had the devotional and eveything. I am presently planning our end of the year Keepers at Home mother/daughter luncheon. I'm titling it "Planting the Seeds of Friendship". I have a wonderful luncheon meal planned and have thought of decorations of miniature clay pots filled with goodies and miniature garden tool, seed packets, garden gloves, and verses about friendship. Because some women dont have daughters or an available mother, last year we had a friendship luncheon. Decorated with yellow roses(stands for friendship)and had several readings about mother/friend, daughter/friend, sister/friend, friend/friend, and most important Jesus/friend. We also passed around small cards so everyone could write a nice comment about each person. We set up a corner decorated witha nice table and yellow roses to have photos taken of each group. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

We are having our banquet in May I am in charge of the decorations. The theme is "Where two or three are gathered" I have an afghan with the picture of a child kneeling at a rocking chair with a teddy bear beside her and she is praying. We are doing our first mother-daughter banquet as a formal mother/daughter tea in May. Our twice a month meetings including six-seven meetings, we are taking one or two of the etiquette requirements and practicing them with the girls. As this will be a white glove occasion, the girls will earn their etiquette badge prior to the banquet. Their new learned knowledge will give them the alloquence to enjoy and use their new skills in etiquette/manners. After the formal tea, we will present badges earned/awards.
