Subject: Skorts Uniform Idea

Our girls are wearing knee length burgundy skorts with the pink Keepers tee shirt. We used the burgundy fabric available from KOF for the skorts, also available from WalMart.

Subject: Our Uniform Idea

We are preparing to start our Keepers of the Faith club in a couple of months. For our "uniform" we will be making vests for the girls and will assign each age group a color. For instance, the 5-7 years olds will be pink, the 8-12 year olds will be yellow, etc. Each girl will pick out her own fabric print/pattern within her age color scheme. This will provide both uniformity and individuality. The vest patterns and the color group will be alike, however the difference will come in which print each girl chooses.

Subject: Historical Patterns For Uniforms-Aprons

For anyone trying to figure out a good way to display badges, we found a great one!  As one of our sewing projects, the girls made aprons.  We used a historical pattern from the Demorest Company available from Past Patterns ( http://www.pastpatterns.com/993.html ).  We did a little alteration to allow for different sizes.  The aprons came out great, and they are very useful!  We had considered using Simplicity's pattern 7481, but the girls decided they wanted uniforms in a historical style and selected a historical dress pattern for their dresses.Thier uniforms are currently under construction, using the "Girls 1776 Dress" pattern from Patterns Of Time  - http://www.patternsoftime.com/CatalogC6.html   I'm really rather proud of these girls.  The dresses are difficult to alter and construct, but they keep plugging away at them, and are very excited about them - They are a great group!

Subject: Contenders Display of Pins

My husband is starting a Contenders Group and we wondering what the other groups do for the boys to display their pins. We don't want to have sashes or vests,as we wanted no uniforms. But we would like them to get the pins for completing their projects and such. Any advice would be appreciated.
thanks and God bless

Subject: Specific Uniforms

Is there a specific uniform that Keepers Girls should wear, or do
different groups develope their own? Our group is planning to probably use sashes for
the badges - should they be maroon? Some girls in our group want
a tie (like a Girl Scout tie) as part of the uniform. Is this a good idea?

Subject: Keepers Vests

In some of the pictures of a Keepers group In Orange County CA I noticed the girls were wearing vests!  We've been looking for vests! Does Keepers of the Faith sell them?  Our Keepers group is doing so very well!  This summer we focused on some of the Sports and came up with a badge for Bocce Ball....it's a great family sport....all ages can play and it also leaves time for chatting (very important if you are a girl). We also had an exercise teacher come in and teach a little about the importance of why God wants us to keep our bodies healthy and strong...then they had a little exercise class...stretching, running, and moving.  We just love this program....it has been a blessing to many moms and daughters in our Chatsworth California area...

Subject: T-shirts for older girls?

We have had our Keepers group for a couple of years now and we designed our own T-shirts...however...as girls mature, t-shirts aren't our favorite type of shirt...we are able to make our design on a iron-on transfer...but does anyone have any good suggestions as to what we could iron it on to for older girls that would still give us a sense of uniformity but wouldn't be too expensive?  and... the older girls have to love it! :o)

Subject: Sashes or?

I would like to know if other Keeper's at Home clubs prefer the sashes to display their badges or maybe display them on a cardigan sweater like our girls wear in our small Church school?  Any comments would be helpful.  The girls are really divided on which they prefer!

Subject - Wearing Sashes

Our Keepers Girls did a great job making their sashes, and have the large safety pin to hold them.  However, they all slide down the girls.  What are we doing wrong?   Do others also have this problem, or is it just us?  Is that why so many of you use vests instead?
