Tie Dyeing
Tie dyeing has been around for centuries, and
has been used in many different cultures. Shibori is
a form of tie dyeing originating from Japan which
includes many different techniques to form elaborate
and beautiful patterns for kimonos. Mudmee is
another form of tie dyeing. It comes from Thailand,
and is very different from shibori. Tie dyeing is also
popular in the United States. It can be a lot of fun,
and is a great project to do with a group of friends!
