This is a great story for boys and girls. In fact, it is a great story for all ages, adults included. The setting is a tiny island with two principle characters—a very old grandfather and his grandson, Alick, who are the keepers of the lighthouse. Twelve-year-old Alick does what many boys only dream of doing—he helps with the rescue attempt when a ship strikes the rocks near his island home. Only one person is saved—a lively two-year-old named Timpey. Through these God-directed circumstances, the grandfather and boy both come to a realization of their need for our Saviour. Excellent!

Thanks so much! My children are loving our Keepers nights. We have only been doing it a few months, but we are all enjoying it. It gives me a wonderful (scheduled) time with my girls and my husband time with our sons which we had never really made happen. It's a blessing in more than one way.
