This biography is a treasure. It was written over 200years ago and focuses nearly entirely on Mary Bunyan, John's daughter, and how she achieved spiritual victory over the countless trials in her life. Throughout the story you will glimpse the hearts of her mother and father and friends of the family who helped throughout John Bunyan's imprisonment. To read about the faith of these people who lived through severe religious persecution, the plague, and harsh poverty, and who could still praise God, and live for Him, was convicting of the shallowness of our own modern day Christianity. These people lived and breathed the Scriptures. We were challenged to speak, live, minister, disciple and love in a far more real way than the status quo of modern Christianity because of reading this book. This is excellent reading and recommended for teens and adults.
