True, unforgettable story about the believers in 1548: their lives, their persecution, their love for Christ, their faith in Him, and what it meant to them. Few in our day even know or understand such self-sacrifice and such true faithfulness to God and His Word. This is one of those stories which will leave an indelible imprint on your heart and perhaps challenge your Christian walk.

Review by: Isaac in Guyton, GA
I read the book Prisoners of Hope, written by Deborah Alcock, and published by Keepers of the Faith in 2007.
I am very thankful for the challenging book Prisoners of Hope. It taught me that no matter what people do to our earthly bodies, Jesus can and will carry us through all of our trials and sufferings. I was convicted by the Bishop’s undying resolve to never compromise his faith even while tortured on the rack; and George Wolinsky’s unquenchable faith in Jesus Christ his Saviour even when dying of thirst and starvation. It helped me to see living for Christ in a new light when Jacob Bilek was willing to give up everything he had on earth for his Lord, and spend over twelve years alone in a dungeon. I definitely drew closer to my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, through reading this book.
"Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:39)
