This is the incredible true story of the Russian Stundists who stood for their Bible-believing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in direct opposition to the Russian Orthodox Church. For adhering to their faith, they suffered great persecution, and most often were sent to Siberia. Reading the story of their lives leaves an indelible imprint on one's own. It will perhaps present a beautiful pattern for us as we live in the ever-increasing secularization and amoralization of our own society. This is a must read. I read this heart-wrenching story at a time when God was bringing our family through many trials and prunings. As I studied the Scriptures with my husband, I saw that the Stundists shared a "like precious faith." I was encouraged and challenged as I read of the faithful in Christ risk all to serve Him. The story has stayed with me through several years, and even caused me to research to see if there are yet Stundists with a vital walk with Christ living today. This book should be "required reading" along-side books like "Martyr's Mirror" and "They Would Not Be Silent" for all professing to follow Christ.
