The saga of Ruth Erskine's life continues. This book catches us up to Ruth's life from where the book, Judge Burnham's Daughters, ends. It is quite interesting to read about Ruth's closeness to her son, and the exemplary example she sets as a mother-in-law. She is "fifty-something" in this story. Life has ebbed and flowed; problems have arisen and settled; death has often come close to her, but through it all, she has continued to grow closer to her Lord, and her Christian walk has become much more Christlike. This is definitely a thought-provoking book! KOF Old Reprint.

Review by: Patience in Murray, IA
In Ruth Erskine’s Son, we find Ruth older and more mature in her Christian growth, loving her dear boy and caring for him. She taught him the Scriptures daily when he was a child, and this young man became firmly founded on God’s Word. Ruth explained her beliefs to him (like riding on Sunday trains), so Erskine is an exceptional young man. When he gets married, Ruth Burnham is an excellent mother-in-law, putting the girl’s tastes and self above Ruth’s own, even though the wife is terribly hard to get along with. Death has come to many Ruth knew and loved, yet her faith and patience surpassed many Christians. A wonderful book that will provide much to think about! Thank you, Keepers, for publishing godly books that edify, are wholesome and a joy to read! I appreciate it, and I will be a life-long customer. Keep up the good work, and God bless you.
