Last week, I read a book by Isabella Alden called The Exact Truth. It is a story about a girl by the name of Zephene Hammond who, through writing a diary, learned that she must always tell the exact truth in every circumstance. She, like so many other people, went through much trial and tribulation before she found Jesus in the end. The book finished with Zephene serving Jesus by becoming a missionary at home.
After I finished reading the book, I realized that I am guilty of not always telling the exact truth. As I thought about it, the gravity of telling the exact truth became apparent. The heroine in the book was often very embarrassed and even lost in the ocean once as a result of not telling the truth!
Right then and there, I decided that I should begin always telling the exact truth. I also learned that one does not have to travel to foreign countries to be a missionary. By being a blessing to others, I can become a missionary at home! So that is how The Exact Truth changed my life, how will it change yours?
