This is an excellent story for boys. Fred, the main character, is a young Christian who must go into the working world at an early age due to the death of his father. His father died owing a debt, and Fred feels compelled to clear this debt from his father's good name. This is a story about Fred's hard work, struggle, and mistreatment by a co-worker, but most of all, it is a story of his faith and loyalty to His God. It sets a fine example for young people today. We heartily recommend it. Old Reprint.

Made Clear at Last was written by Mary E. Ropes in the 1800’s. This book taught me to always be straight-forward no matter the circumstance. It also taught me that if God wants me to do something, He will help me do it, and I should not be a tale-bearer. This book impacted me for the better, because it showed me when I am following the Bible, God will bless me. Also, it showed me with God’s help I can overcome my temper. The truth I learned was since I am a Christian, God will help me to do things that I don’t think I can do or don’t take pleasure in doing. Lastly, it helped me to see “living for Christ” as not keeping the good news to myself, but sharing it with others. When I share the good news with others, I do not need to be worried about being embarrassed, but be worried about that person’s soul.
