Review by: Kay in Kirksville, MO
We have read about 15 or more of Isabella Alden's books. In the beginning when she would talk of the Sabbath rest I would think that it was just what they used to do. It is not commanded in the New Testament at all, for the Lord's day is not the Sabbath of the Old Testament. Finally, I hit one of her books that spoke in more depth on this subject. The main character, a little girl I believe, wanted to keep the Lord's Day centered on the Lord, not because of a commandment from the Old Testament, but because she felt it was best for her soul to have a day to draw away with the Lord and His people. Now, the light dawned in my heart. Now, this could be a thing of infinite blessing. I began to implement it. I cannot always keep it as I would like as my husband does not have the same convictions, but it is a greater blessing now than it used to be. Praise the Lord!
