If we, for a few moments, put our own thoughts under the microscope, we might be amazed just how self-righteous we are or how much pride we have in who we are, how we live, what our standards are, etc. It is no wonder others do not see more of Jesus in us! This book will challenge you. It did me. If I still had teenage girls at home, I might have them write an essay after each chapter on what they learned. This book will provide excellent thought for discussion. KOF Old Reprint.

Review by: Patience in Murray, IA
This book is number three in “The Chautauqua Series”, and deals primarily with wealthy Ruth Erskine, although the three other girls are in here as well. Ruth’s world is turned upside down when two women come to her home. Miss Erskine’s pride, selfishness, and flesh get the better of her. She fails to see the problems that would form by marrying an unbeliever, and turns people away from Christ instead of to Him. Finally, a severe blow sends her to her knees with the cry, “Thy will be done.” An excellent, challenging narrative that helped me to look at my own life, and I am sure that it will help you as well. Keepers has been such a blessing! I rate this book five stars!

I would like to write this message to the whole Zakula family. I wanted to say thank you to all of you!! It is so nice to use books for my children and not be afraid of what they might read. Especially for our school books, and subjects like science and history. The Keepers and Contenders books are so wonderful in leading our kids to grow how God would want them to grow and someday have their own families. Service is wonderful with KOF and everything you stand for. So again, to ALL of the Zakula family, THANK YOU!! Teresa
