The title of this book is very descriptive of the content of this book, which is set in England. Flora is an interesting character, who is greatly deceived as to her true self. She is influenced by a friend of hers (who doesn’t try to do her harm), and so Flora leaves her widowed mother to go to the city, with heart-rending consequences.
I was greatly blessed by the chapter in this book called “The Novel”, in which it shows that people can learn about the author of a book by reading their works and examining the content of their books. Sadly, Flora falls for the author of “The Novel”, and I cried inwardly for her to not be so self-deceived. But as Christians we can all be deceived in one way or another, so I found that we need to examine ourselves before God and question ourselves. Are our works for God’s glory or ourselves?
A. L. O. E. did a wonderful job with writing this book, which is full of many truths throughout its pages. I enjoyed this book and its treasures, and I think everyone would enjoy reading the story of Flora Vernon.

I am a new customer and just received my first order in the mail. I am so delighted with the quality of the books. I am very happy to have been introduced to this website by my cousin. It is hard to know where to shop for good Christian books and I am happy to have found a website I can trust. I look forward to ordering more books as I am able. Thank you for your dedication to Christian values.
