Even though Only Ten Cents is about a child, there is something for every age in this poignant, true story. I wonder if Mrs. Alden didn't write this for teens and adults to show us our many failings in dealing with children. It is the story of a very poor girl in very undesirable circumstances who desperately wants to find out about what it truly means to be a Christian and have a clean heart. We all can learn from this one!
