The saga of Ruth Erskine's life continues. This book catches us up to Ruth's life from where the book, Judge Burnham's Daughters, ends. It is quite interesting to read about Ruth's closeness to her son, and the exemplary example she sets as a mother-in-law. She is "fifty-something" in this story. Life has ebbed and flowed; problems have arisen and settled; death has often come close to her, but through it all, she has continued to grow closer to her Lord, and her Christian walk has become much more Christlike.
