Old Grumpy, so lonely and selfish, lived in a very, very dirty and ragged room. I never thought she would have a very, very different heart. I think the readers who read this book will change their lives to become missionaries. I want to be a missionary too! (But I don’t take trips very often.)

Nobody Loves Me After a personal reading of the book, I knew that “Nobody Loves Me” would be on the top of our towering stack of read-aloud books. It appears there is that child who needs to understand the depth of God’s wrath towards sin, there is that child who needs to be showered by the unfathomable grace of God, and it is the latter to which this book powerfully speaks. “Nobody Loves Me” is the anguished mantra of Old Grumpy, orphaned at birth and despised for as along as the neighbors of Ivy Court can remember. Over time the Lord draws her to Himself, gently and patiently, but not without many tears on her part. It would not be an understatement to say that this story of undeserved favor led that child of mine towards reconciliation with his parents. Those characteristics of our Father in heaven which intimate and which I put into words,
“I still love you.
There is nothing you can do that will make me love you less.
Your sin is behind you.”
softened his little heart. May this book bless you likewise.
