This is a collection of three stories written in the 1800's. The first, The Widow's Son, is the story of a young man leaving a godly mother to learn a trade in the city. He is influenced by companions at work to leave the ways of God and follow more worldly paths. The Lord burdens him with a life threatening illness and the realization of eternity. It is an excellent story and will serve as a warning to young people to flee the enticements of worldly friends.
The second story, The Watchmaker and His Family, tells of a poor watchmaker's struggles to provide for his family and remain faithful to His Lord. This story has some interesting thoughts on keeping the Sabbath Day. It will make you think!
The third story, ?Tis All for the Best, should be a must read for all of us. This narrative relates how a man and wife endured many hardships, bringing them to trust less in the world and more in Him who is able to provide all things necessary for time and eternity. It will be difficult for anyone to complain or feel sorry for themselves after reading this little story. This is a story you will want to read and reread. Old Reprint. (pb, 5˝x8˝, 99 pages)
