It is hard to believe that our family had only heard of this book and never read it. We recently read a very condensed version of the fall of Jerusalem based on Josephus' accounts. This encouraged us to buy his entire works, and we are glad we did. He is an excellent historian, not at all dry or boring. This book contains an entire history of the Jewish people written in a personal manner.
